The Asura is unique to Jin as it is the only class that offers him otto. Also the longest in range for his class of melee weapons, the Asura makes use of this to effect his melee attacks as he attempts to close in on them. His power has been well restored since the Eternity patch, bringing about new possibilities for combat when using him.

Asura's skill set is set mainly for direct engagements and destroying enemies up front. Leaving only Skyfall the valid area attack capable of mass destruction.

Dodge:
  • Type: Ground Roll
  • Added bonus for Jin. He excels very well with his own evasion technique and will be easier to rely on it than Dodge, since Dodge as limited use before exhausting while his default is unlimited.
  • Also not much use for Asura. The only time he'll need it is for escaping when he uses techniques and a counterattack comes his way.
Inherent Techniques:
  • Evade (Z↓ while idle)
  • Allows Jin to slip behind an enemy with this technique.
  • Combat Evade ( during main combo)
  • Another variant used when in the midst of the combo attack, can be used anytime throughout the entire combo.
  • Dash Evade (↓ during a dash attack)
  • Allows Jin to slip behind an enemy in the midst of his dash attack. He can deliver his dash attack and then roll away as well.
  • Air Combo ( during main combo)
  • Switches into a leap of whirling swings into the air, dealing multiple hits and moderate damage altogether.
  • Storm Fist (Z→ while idle)
  • Asura's version takes a longer time to hit due to the swinging animation of his Chamma.
  • Spinning Crane Kick (↑ during a dash attack)
  • Similar to Dragon Kick but with a lesser launch effect. Sets them up perfectly to receive a Scorpion Sting while on the ground.
  • Scorpion Sting (Z↑ while idle)
  • Essentially a forward thrust of the Chamma, hitting in a line enemies within a short range.
  • If charged with Chi, it releases a Chi projectile with slightly increased range for this attack, and deals more damage with additional hits.
  • Thrashing Dragon (→→← + Z while idle) *Chi required*
  • An attacking consisting of flip kicks and a Chamma thrash, has a long attack sequence and launching effect occurs only on the 3rd and last hit.
  • Chamma Smash (↓Z during a jump)
  • Flips in the air and brings the Chamma to the ground. Has good splash range though not a powerful attack.

Otto:
  • Each hit causes long recovery times and thus cannot be spammed as much as other characters
  • Doing it too fast before he recovers will cause him to enter a roll instead.
  • Requires Asura to keep moving forward to keep up with the distancing.
  • Sustainability: Very Hard
Notes:
  • General increase in all damage and skills since revamp.
  • Attack speed for Asura is equally slow with the Shisa.
  • Focus on techniques as they can gain more MP than just the basic attacks alone.
  • Asura's Jump smash attack has increased radius.

Skill Tree Setup:

Burning Mode Duration
Increases the Burning Gauge's maximum drain time. The time displayed is takes into account a full charge. eg. At Lv3, the Burning Gauge without going into Burning Mode, will take 20 seconds to drain completely.

Sustained Burning Mode
Increases the sustained time the Burning Gauge will hold before it drains. The amount of charge is disregarded. eg. At Lv3, the Burning Gauge will hold itself for 11 seconds before it starts draining. Charging the gauge for even a fraction of a second will refresh this countdown.

Burning Skill
Techniques and Skills will use reduced amounts of the Burning Gauge. eg. At Lv2, the amount of Chi used is halved. Note that 0.5 is only a value, and does not mean half of a bar of the gauge.

Special Jump
Allows the use of the Arhan Technique which is a short glide in mid-air. Lv3 allows up to 3 glides consecutively.
  • Do not spam the X key as it will drain the gauge completely before Jin gets off his 2nd glide.
  • Once Burning Mode is engaged, Arhan Technique can be used unlimited times until the gauge drains off. The maximum number of glides you might get is 16 times.

Skill Setup:

Tier 1:

Asura Strike
  • Type: Close-In
  • Range: Short
  • Damage: Multi
  • Animation: Short
  • Jin delivers two swift blows with the Chamma
  • Burning Mode: Deals more damage with 4 hits in total.

Tier 2:

Asura Slicer
  • Type: Close-In, Splash
  • Range: Mid
  • Damage: Multi
  • Animation: Short
  • Jin smashes the ground twice and delivers a splash attack on the third strike.
  • Burning Mode: Jin uses a Chamma combo instead and delivers a larger splash attack on the last strike.

Tier 3:
Asura Yang
  • Type: Splash
  • Range: Mid
  • Damage: Multi
  • Animation: Long
  • Jin's flails his Chamma around to strike his enemy multiple times and then vaults onto it to deliver a high-impact blow to the ground.
  • Burning Mode: The initial attack is the same but changes on the 2nd phase. Instead of the pole vault, Jin knocks his enemy into the air with him and delivers a smashing blow down onto the launched enemy.

Tier 4:

Skyfall
  • Type: Lock-On, AoE: Wide, Damage-Stack
  • Range: Wide
  • Damage: Multi
  • Animation: Long
  • Jin leaps onto his Chamma and harnesses the power of his Chi, creating lotus flowers around him that damage enemies touching them.
  • 6 lotuses surround Jin in a formation, another 4 will appear on the nearest targets found near him. Damage stacking occurs if enemies are bunched together.
  • Unlike other 4th skills of this trait, Skyfall is unique as it generates a fixed medium of attack with inclusion of the lock-on ones. Thus the larger a target one is around Jin, the more damage Skyfall can inflict with both the lotus formation and the lock-on element.
