Drakar covers up the one weak point which started out from Stygian, which is the improvement of his basic combo attacks. These changes are crucial, allowing Dio to go toe-to-toe with his opponents instead of fighting them inconsistently.

In Drakar's skill tree, Dio gains a couple more new moves and reinforcing those from the Stygian's. The new skills however, do not see much play in the dungeon field. They are of more tactical use in PvP than Dio would need them in dungeons.

  • Type: Blink
  • Dio right now, would have 3 options of evasion (2 types of Blink and now Dodge), but their operative use is different by the way they control the evasion mechanism. This can cause a slight confusion in using the right Dodge/Blink move
  • *This portion will be the same across all Dio articles by the way*
  • Blink has a short delay before activation, meaning you can get countered out of the move if you used it too late against an incoming attack. It's 3 second cooldown is also a limitation if you have a sudden need to evade continuously.
  • Dodge on the other hand has no delay, can be used consecutively until your meter runs out, albeit limited in use, and allow you to dodge repeatedly until you find safety. You will need to manually control your direction of escape however.

  • The only real major improvement is the combo system. Drakar's influence on Dio's play style isn't much until the next job class, Leviathan.

Skill Tree Setup: Passives

Combo Attack Lv2
The key item that strengthens Dio attack. It allows Dio to attack consistently from here on by also changing his combo style. Damage from this combo attack also has increased base damage.

Apply Combo
Dio sweeps his enemy into the air and ignites a sphere of demon energy at his palm.

Jump Attack
Allows an additional jump attack in which Dio ignites a sphere of demon energy at his palm. The secondary attack hovers Dio in the air for a while.

Vertical Blink
Similarly like Blink, Vertical Blink also functions the same way except it moves you directly upwards. The level decreased cooldown from 5 seconds to 3 seconds.
Apply Jump
During a jump, this augment allows Dio to perform a fast swoop in the air, hitting his enemies along his flight path.

Increased AP Recovery Rate / Amount of AP at Start
These are continuations from Stygian, beginning from Lv4 up to Lv5 max. Self explanatory.

Increased Critical Strike Chance:
Continuation from the Stygian, increases from Lv4 to Lv5 max. Self-explanatory.

Skill Tree Setup: Actives

Rebound (6 AP)
  • Type: One-Shot, Impact
  • Range: Short ~ Long
  • Damage: Burst
  • A demonic hand appears through a portal and slams into Dio's enemies, knocking them flying towards him.
  • The level increases damage dealt.
  • The distance at which the hand appears can be increased by "Adjusted Distance". By default the hand appears just in front of Dio.
  • Lv1 of "Adjusted Distance" puts this attack at mid-range. Lv2 puts it at long-range, and the enemy has to be at least on the edge of the screen to get hit.
  • ^ This change becomes permanent once added, making the close-combat option no longer available to use.

Life Keep (46 AP)
  • Type: Self
  • Range: Self
  • Damage: Nil
  • Animation: Short
  • Dio stores 50% of his life force in another dimension. Within a 100 second time limit, if Dio falls, he retrieves the stored life force into him and is able to continue battle.
  • The level increases the extra HP gained when Dio retrieves it. A maximum of 10% at Lv5.

Evil Shock (6 AP)
  • Type: Splash
  • Range: Long
  • Damage: Burst
  • Dio places a sphere of demonic energy in front of him, which acts like a remote-bomb until he commands it to explode (Press "X"). Dio can detonate them at any time and at any position at his choosing.
  • Each sphere exists for 10 seconds and they eventually disappear if unused.
  • Up to 3 spheres can exist at once. The oldest sphere will be replaced by the newest if it exceeds 3.
  • Despite being a skill, there is no actual skill delay.

Kill Zone (76 AP)
  • Type: DoT
  • Range: Mid
  • Damage: Multi
  • Animation: Short
  • Dio places a demonic totem in front of him which emanates a field of demonic energy, damaging enemies that move near it over a period of time. Every hit taken flinches the enemy.
  • The level increases the damage dealt.
  • Kill Zone's time limit can be increased from 15 seconds to a maximum of 25 seconds at Sustained Kill Zone Lv5.
  • Despite being a skill, there is no actual skill delay. But there is a brief moment of invulnerability when placing the totem.
  • The cooldown time for Kill Zone is 30 seconds, not 26 seconds as stated.
