Dark Assassin is really one of those characters you never see in the dungeon anymore, and for good reason. While PvP may be his proving ground, he is completely dysfunctional for dungeon purposes. Compared to any other character type, his movements, attacks, range and agility are all in the dumps. With the inability to attack consistently, he is on the losing end as he cannot commit himself to crowd control when required, forcing him to pick off his enemies one by one for good measure. His skills will be very necessary in destroying his enemies.

Dodge:
  • Type: Smokebomb (Ground)
  • The agile Lass has his own set of evasion techniques but the Dodge move is a welcome to his other less agile classes.
  • Since his land combos have no evasion moves, Dodge comes in handy. It also works well for his air otto if the enemy suddenly decides to counter his onslaught, allowing Lass to dodge out of harm's way.
Inherent Techniques:
  • Rapid Air Slash (→→Z continuously during jumps)
  • The technique for Dark Assassin's air otto, which can be performed in the air repeatedly as many times as your finger allow it to. Lass freezes in the air for an instance with every landed, extending his air time during the attack but will eventually land on the ground.



Otto:
  • Dark Assassin's jump attack starts on the low end, barely making it but enough to keep him on the platform
  • Despite that, he is unable to repeat the attack cycle without slowing down to a snail's pace.
  • Sustainability: Ridiculously Hard
Notes:
  • His Air Otto works on tall enemies and those that don't move. But it is completely dysfunctional for any other monster types to sustain enough hits. He also doesn't get enough damage done to make it effective or worth the time.
  • Invisibility Sting is a poor counter. It doesn't attack anything and leaves you still at the same place, vulnerable.
  • Never let Dark Assassin engage a crowd in physical combat, he is bound to get trampled.

Skill Tree Setup: 



Invisible: Shadow Vanish
Lass becomes invisible to enemy sight for 20 seconds. Invisibility remains as long as Lass does not connect an attack. Activating other shared skills and skills that hit nothing and even taking a hit will not affect the invisibility status. This technique is perfect for setting up a back attack with skills. 15 second cooldown.

Buff: Dash
For 10 seconds, Lass gains a burst of speed that improves his dashing and walking speed. 10 second cooldown. Dark Assassin does not receive much additional benefit from this.

Jump: Super Jump
An arcing high jump that brings you up 2 platforms higher. You are able to attack in your path of flight. 10 second cooldown.

Skill Setup:


Tier 1:

Invisible Sting
  • Type: Self
  • Range: Direct
  • Damage: Nil
  • Animation: Short
  • Invisible Sting now activates the delay immediately, removing the chance to get hit before activation.
  • Lass becomes invisible to enemy sight for 15 seconds. Invisibility remains as long as Lass does not connect an attack. Activating other shared skills and skills that hit nothing and even taking a hit will not affect the invisibility status.
  • 30% damage increase for next attack. Carries over even if you use Weapon Change function.
  • ^ The next entire attack is buffed, not just for one hit. This includes the entirety of a skill or pet attack.


Tier 2:

Hypersonic Step
  • Type: DoT
  • Range: Short
  • Damage: Multi
  • Animation: Long
  • Executes a fast barrage of slashes at the enemy ahead
  • Range is very limited


Tier 3:

Unlimited Blade
  • Type: Pierce
  • Range: Short
  • Damage: Multi
  • Animation: Long
  • Executes a furious barrage of slashes at the enemy ahead and then going behind to do more back-damage.
  • Range is very limited, the slashing speed is also slower than Hypersonic Step.


Tier 4:

Spatial Divide
  • Type: AoE: Large
  • Range: Wide
  • Damage: Multi - Burst
  • Animation: Long
  • By breaking the 4th wall, Dark Assassin rips at the background furiously, tearing a gigantic gash over 80% of the screen from the center. Anything that falls within the blackened space and final two claw slashes take damage from this attack. 
  • Lass moves slightly forward when he executes Spatial Divide, be sure to account for this.
