Muse is a unique class to Amy, in which she is the only class that literally uses music as a weapon as main attacks, while the others do neither in both modes. For most players, using her performer mode for the high damage is a given, but it begins to show signs of vulnerability when handling more agile enemies and those of fast counterattacks. This then reverts them to fighter mode which players must utilize effectively to put down her enemies.

On a technical note, Muse's fighter mode has gotten an attack speed increase so results are better when attacking, however this is still largely ineffective without the good use of otto, which allows Amy to increase her damage output. While she may hold an edge with short range and melee capability, neither of these modes alone are sufficient for overcoming the odds in dungeons. A combination of both; and at the rights times, must be used to effect victory.

Muse's theme revolves around "Melodies", or music. As seen in her skills that bring her support and offensive roles.

Dodge:
  • Type: Aerial Maneuver
  • Again for many melee combatants like Amy, while she is not ottoing or spamming aerial techniques, Dodge comes as an allowance for her to engage in regular ground combat.
  • Important for evasion especially while in Performer Mode, attacking with the violin. Muse is often completely vulnerable and requires Dodge to escape much harm
Inherent Techniques:
  • Magic Move (↓Z during a jump or double jump)
  • Muse enters a high speed, but non-offensive dive which covers a large travel distance. Upon landing, if "Z" is pressed again, she will take a wide swipe with her violin bow.
  • Muse can chain the attack anytime as long as she still remains in her stance (for about 1 second anyway)
  • Shock Rock (→→← + Z during a dash) Performer Mode only*
  • Used as a defensive measure, Muse plays a fast traveling note which strikes chasing enemies and knocks them back. This note is colored blue compared to the regular pink.
  • Heartcrusher (↑ during main combo) Performer Mode only*
  • A small AoE attack around Muse when she attacks normally. Only usable while on the ground. Deals significantly more damage than standard attacks.
  • Easy to juggle opponents with this move if against a wall.

Otto:
  • Only available with Muse's fighter mode.
  • Easy to sustain but requires slower pacing than most characters,
  • Sustainability: Moderate
Notes:
  • Muse's performer mode packs a lot of power as a short-range weapon, but her immobility caused while attacking can be detrimental. It is best used on single targets or those that have been isolated from their allies.
  • Muse is the only class of her kind that doesn't have an offensive dive attack, except only after she lands to land a hit behind her. She can also now dash off after that dive.
  • Amy cannot provide MP in her performer mode as Muse, and is her only class that cannot do this.

Skill Tree Setup:

Special Skill 1: Buff Time Lv2
When switching back to Dancer mode (only), a 30-second defense buff is activated on all teammates. Everytime you switch back to Dancer mode before it ends, the buff is refreshed back to 30-seconds.

Special Skill 2: Increased Defense Lv3
Functions together with Buff Time. This skill increases the defense value provided by 10% along with the increased time.
  • At any time, Mode change can be used in mid-combo as an interrupt or in the air. However, take note that using mode change negates your double jump. So if you had only performed a single jump while changing, you cannot do a double.

Blessing: Blessing Lv3
Amy activates a special which nullifies negative effects on herself and fellow teammates. Effectively she can release teammates from Curse, Freeze and Petrify if she does so quickly, as Blessing has a long start-up time. Also, she can only release herself from Curse, as the other 2 statuses will disable her completely. If she is attacked before she channel the Blessing, the effect is lost and has to be redone.

Skill Setup:

Performer Skills
Tier 1:

Pop Rocks
  • Type: Projectile, Splash
  • Range: Short
  • Damage: Burst
  • Animation: Short
  • Amy plays a single tune from her violin which shoots off as a projectile which explodes into a huge burst upon enemy contact or after a short period of time.
  • The splash of the attack deals much more damage than the projectile itself.

Tier 2:

Rhapsody
  • Type: AoE
  • Range: Short
  • Damage: Nil
  • Animation: Long
  • Amy plays a melody that surrounds her in a musical chord, boosting the MP regen of her fellow teammates whom fall within her zone of influence.
  • Amy herself does not benefit from the effects of Rhapsody

Tier 3:

Curtain Call
  • Type: Lock-On
  • Range: Short ~ Long
  • Damage: Multi
  • Animation: Long
  • Amy summons a cluster of stage props which falls from 2 platforms above and onto the ground, smashing anything under it. The final item is a grand piano which smashes the entire surface it is aimed under.
  • There are points of aim Amy can take with this skill, and it has to be pressed via directional keys before it triggers. Pressing back drops the props on her position. Pressing forward drops them near the screen edge. Pressing nothing drops them just in front of Amy.

Fighter Skills
Tier 1:

Flying Spin
  • Type: Close-In
  • Range: Short
  • Damage: Burst
  • Animation: Short
  • A quick 3-hit attack using a high-speed spin against the enemy. Launches enemies in the air.
  • Amy must go very close in to make the hits connect. Prone to missing.

Tier 2:

Sweeping Crush
  • Type: Impact
  • Range: Short
  • Damage: Multi
  • Animation: Short
  • Amy takes a swipe with her violin bow and smashes her violin thrice on the ground at her enemies.
  • Generally good for dealing with stacked enemies thanks to the large amounts of damage it can do

Tier 3:

Amy Kick
  • Type: Close-In, Splash
  • Range: Mid
  • Damage: Burst
  • Animation: Short
  • Amy takes a leap back into the air and dives with great force onto the ground, dealing direct and splash damage to enemies around her landing site.

Tier 4:

Empress Waltz
  • Type: AoE
  • Range: Wide
  • Damage: Multi
  • Animation: Long
  • Amy plays a tune from her violin which emanates a cluster of music notes that burst into multiple notes each when they hit the edge of the player's screen, flooding back the entire screen with the music notes.
  • This skill has taken a severe nerf to the point it can't even take 2 bars off a boss' total HP.
